Welcome to Legacy Jr. High!
New students are students who come to LJH from outside of Davis School District or who are new to LJH boundaries. This does not include incoming 7th grade students who registered at their elementary school the previous year.

The following instructions will walk you through completing the registration process step-by-step.
The instructions vary slightly from grade-to-grade, so please sit down with your student to fully review the instructions for their grade level.

Required 7th Grade Courses:
- Math: Math 7 or Honors Accelerated Math 7 & 8
- Must meet the portfolio requirements at the school district to be eligible for Honors Accelerated.
- English: English 7
- Science: Integrated Science 7
- Social Studies: Utah Studies
- CCA: College and Career Awareness
- PE: Must complete one PE class in 7th OR 8th grade.
- Art: Must complete one art class in 7th OR 8th grade.

- Science: Earth Science or Biology
- Biology is recommended for students who are interested in careers in the medical field and plan to take AP Biology or Chemistry in 10th grade.
- Earth Science is only taught in 9th grade. Students will not have the opportunity to take Earth Science in High School.
- Social Studies: World Geography or AP Human Geography
- PE: PE Skills & Techniques 9, Individual Lifetime Activities, or Ballroom Dance
- 1.5 PE credits (3 semesters) required to graduate. Taking at least one PE class in 9th grade is recommended to meet graduation requirements.

- Other Suggested Courses:
- Art: 1.5 art credits (3 semesters) required to graduate
- CTE: 1.0 CTE credits (two semesters) required to graduate, 3.0 CTE credits recommended for career-readiness
- If you need to fill a specific credit before 10th grade, talk with your school counselor about online class options.

Audition Courses:
Do not list Teacher's Assistant and other Audition/Permission courses on your form. If you plan to take an audition/permission course next year, please see Step 4 for instructions.
If you list Teacher's Aide, Office Assistant, Counseling Aide on your form it will be removed and one of your alternates will be put in its place.
