To celebrate, we’re raising a glass of Inca Kola! 🥤💛 This iconic, bright yellow soda is a beloved national treasure in Peru, known for its unique sweet flavor that many say tastes just like bubblegum or cream soda. 🍬😋 It’s the perfect way to toast to the vibrant culture and traditions of the Andes! 🏔️🎶

Next stop: Samoa! ✈️ In the islands, locals often bypass traditional pine trees 🎄 and instead turn to the "Tree of Life" 🥥🍌 for their holiday celebrations. Rather than buying imported pines, many Samoans get creative by decorating banana trees 🍌 or coconut trees 🥥 to serve as festive centerpieces. For a truly authentic look, some communities weave entire Christmas trees out of coconut fronds . 🌴🎨Students decorated palm trees and tried a piece of coconut candy.

In Brazil, children eagerly await the arrival of Papai Noel. Instead of hanging them by a chimney, tradition says kids leave their socks (stockings) near a window or door. If Papai Noel finds them, he replaces them with treats and small gifts! 🍬
To bring a piece of this tradition to our halls, the MAC Club hid stockings all around the school today! 🕵️♂️🧦 Lucky students who spotted a hidden stocking were able to trade them in for a special holiday treat, just like in Brazil.

The learning didn't stop there! Students also shared some of their favorite family holiday traditions and proudly posted them on our map for all to see.

Our fundraiser this year will go towards supporting students here at Legacy! Help us pass last year's goal of $19,000! Legacy staff will be able to use this fund to buy coats, clothing, supplies, etc. for kids that go to this school. We really want to make a difference that will last for years. Every little bit helps!
We will follow the Assembly Schedule on Friday, October 31st for the Halloween Dance.
The end of term is coming Wednesday, Oct 15th. Legacy Learning is available Tuesday-Thursday this week. Use this extra help to get your work completed and turned in before the end of term. Finish strong Silver Wolves!
Picture retakes will be Wednesday October 1st. Photos will be taken between 10 am - 1 pm. Students will be called down alphabetically according to last name. If you were absent or if you are a new student to Legacy, you will need to have your picture taken.
